Jim Lyon
Corporate Operations & Compliance Officer | Facility Security Officer
Corporate Integrity
Jim has over 36 years of experience working with Defense Industrial Base (DIB) companies. His work has included overseeing physical and industrial security, serving as Facility Security Officer, program and project management, and various Corporate Leadership roles.
Jim joined IntegrITS in 2001 as a member of the technical team providing Application Rationalization and Application Deployment Packaging & Testing for Navy Marine Core Intranet (NMCI) at the Application Proving Lab in San Diego. He subsequently transitioned to NMCI Site Deployment Support for NMCI transitioning bases including NAS North Island, NAS Lemore, and Washington Navy Yard. Jim then transitioned to Project Leadership roles supporting various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system solutions for Naval Supply (NAVSUP), NAVSUP Household Goods, and Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command (NATEC). For a significant portion of Jim’s time with IntegrITS, he was a ‘road warrior’ on travel multiple weeks a month (one year he amassed 256 hotel nights). Over the past decade, Jim has supported Integrits Corporation’s internal Network Operations and Infrastructure, applying best practices and business process optimization to streamline and enhance the day-to-day activities of the various functional areas of Corporate Operations.
Prior to joining IntegrITS, Jim served six years as a Navy cryptologic technician supporting shore based and afloat operations. He also worked in the government contractor sector supporting Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical (TRA) and Teledyne Ryan Electronics (TRE) in the areas of physical security, industrial security, and eventually serving as assistant Facility Security Officer. Then for ten years, Jim was the Facility Security Officer for Northrop Grumman, San Diego, with responsibilities for an Industrial Security Program encompassing all classified material holdings, cleared automated information systems (AIS) management and training, and personnel and physical security of two facilities in San Diego.
Over the years, Jim and his wife have volunteered with their community church, gaining special expertise in décor and prop design. Jim became very good at utilizing unique materials for props, and even designed and constructed a 6 foot tall, 8 foot wide, three-tier decorated cake out of Styrofoam. Jim and his wife also financially support a number of charities including their local church, animal rescue, San Diego Mission, and the United Service Organization (USO).
